Wild Cucumber (500g)

Add your review

Traditionally and currently enjoyed as a refreshing, hydrating veld food

A gorgeous relative of the ordinary cucumber

This bright green & juicy gem has a slightly more lemony flavour than its tamer relative. It also has larger, harder (and nutritious) seeds which should be considered in culinary use.

Cooking inspiration:

Cut in half across its breadth to easily scoop out the flesh
It makes an absolutely delicious tzatziki and is gorgeous in a salad or served in refreshing drinks.

Seasonality:

February to June, depending on rainfall.
