Bread is commonly made from grains and sprouted bread is made from sprouted grains. There is no flour and no yeast used in making sprouted bread. Common bread flour is grown in artificially fertilized soil and stripped of its nutrition and fibre to produce a fine powder which is often bleached white. What remains is virtually zero sustenance and goodness. The devitalised bread has a longer shelf life.  Sprouted bread is the answer to many of our bread problems. It is an alive bread in many regards and about 7 times more nutritious than wholewheat bread. Sprouted bread will not turn rancid. Sprouted bread has 3-4 times the fibre, heightened B vitamin content to that of most stoneground wholegrain bread and is 400% higher in moisture. This means that sprouted bread does not stick around. Unlike white flour products that have little or no fibre and stick like glue to the intestinal walls, the combination of high moisture and high fibre keeps sprouted bread moving through like an intestinal broom.
