Pye's Honey

Pye’s Honey spans 3 generations, starting with Fredrick Pye in 1948. His son Graham Pye joined him in 1953 when he left school.  Pye’s Honey was officially registered in 1959.  Trevor Pye (Graham’s son) showed a keen interest in bees from a very young age.  In the early 1900’s, Trevor started building his own hives and then, after leaving school, took Pye’s Honey to new heights…

We are proud to offer our customers 100% raw, organic honey from our own bee hives.  Our honey is purely and proudly South African!  Spun out the honey comb, put into the settling tank and poured into bottles – nothing added or taken out… Honey at it’s best! Available in glass and plastic 500g bottles. We also manufacture our own hives and hive components.

A variety of fruit trees and ground crops benefit greatly from Cross Pollination.  Bees are specifically good at this task, as they are unique in that they are flower-constant when visiting flowers. Fruits and crops that benefit include apples, cherries, sunflowers, avocado pears, macadamia nuts, kidney beans, amongst others, and any crop that is being grown for seed production. We have been providing clients with hives for the last 25 years, some who have been with us since the beginning.
