Hoedspruit Hub

We’re an AgriSETA accredited one-stop-shop for commercial farmers’ training and community development needs. We offer offer in-house and outsourced training and skills training to youth from impoverished communities. Our design and development process is ISO 9001:2015 certified. 

In December 2016, three commercial farm enterprises, the Landman Group, Blydevallei Boerdery, and Bavaria Fruit Estates, registered a social enterprise, the Hoedspruit Hub.

As a social enterprise, we endeavour to maximise a positive environmental and social impact alongside profit for our stakeholders. We aim to increase the resilience of commercial farming enterprises in South Africa through:

• high quality sector-appropriate customised training that develops people, and

• investments in local communities and economies through skills development that support livelihood strategies.

​As training is our main offering, we add additional value through creating enriched training environments using additional teaching and learning aids that makes learning more fun.

Our start-up phase from 2018 to 2021 is funded by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH or in short, GIZ’s Employment for Development (E4D) and the Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa, the IDC’s social enterprise fund.
