Willem and Louanne Briedenhann started Familiér Farm Grocer literally from their kitchen table. Wanting to give their children only the best in health and vitality, they researched where to find the best natural and organic foods in the area. Friends could see how they became healthier and full of life and asked whether they could also order such produce, and so a business idea began to form. With a leap of faith, Familiér Farm Grocer was established from their home on Annandale Wine Estate. Today their kitchen-table shop has grown so much that it has taken over their former home, and has become a successful farm shop that attracts both locals searching for top quality, natural, real food as well as tourists visiting the beautiful and rustic Stellenbosch Estate.

At Familiér, we believe that good health and longevity starts with what you eat. That is why we source only pure, wholesome produce, free from artificial preservatives, colourants, MSG and flavourants. It is vitally important to know where your food comes from, how it was cultivated or produced, and it is our job to provide you with superior quality, natural produce that not only tastes great, but is affordable for you and your family, so that you can make healthy, considered and uncompromising choices.

At Familiér we believe the best meats come from grass-fed animals, free from routine antibiotics and growth hormones. The same as with our meat, we source from grass-fed cows, free from routine antibiotics and growth hormones. You won’t find stabilisers, thickeners or preservatives in our dairy products. Familiér sources only organically and sustainably grown vegetable and fruits, all free of chemical pesticides. Familiér offers organic and unprocessed whole grains, nuts and seeds for optimal nutritional value. Our seeds and nuts are raw and our spices, non-irradiated. We encourage you to bring your own jars when buying grains, nuts, seeds, olive oil and honey, and your own bags and boxes for groceries.
