Abalimi Bezekhaya

Abalimi grows farmers, farmers grow food, and HoH partners with people who understand the need to source small and locally to build a better food system for all. Abalimi Bezekhaya supports small-scale farmers growing food for home consumption and for market in community gardens and home gardens throughout the Cape Flats. Active in Khayelitsha, Nyanga, Philippi, and Gugulethu, Abalimi focuses on organic and low-intensity farming practices, though organic certification remains prohibitively expensive.
