In 2014 Magda started the garden at Beacon Primary School for Special Needs, armed with just a spade, a fork and wheelbarrow. Months of hard graft later, and she was rewarded with a flattened area that us now a lush garden.

“I worked solidly for 3 months removing stones and bushes to clear the land. It was crazy working  that hard right through the summer- but I got it done” says Magda.

Magda now runs this garden with graduates of Beacon LSEN who have special needs and are 4 ex-students now employed full-time by her- for example Joseph (pictured left).  As Suzelle from the online sensation ‘Suzelle DIY’ would say “Amazing, isn’t it??”
